Profile: Peter Harrison – Design & Marketing Manager
Peter Joined The Printing House in 1997 as Design Studio Manager and when the existing owners wanted to retire, Peter and Paul Springthorpe bought the company. In October 2017 The Printing House joined the SG World family and took on the mantle of Design & Marketing Manager.
Why did you get into printing?
I worked for a company called Jazz design in the early 1990s selling Design & Print, I then moved into buying print for Royal Mail, it was a simple step to move into print itself.

The people, we have a great team and great customers

Before working at The Printing House, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Selling Aerial Photographs in North Wales
What would you most like to print?
A life-size Kylie Minogue Standee!
What would people never guess you do in your role?
Sell shoes! As part of our workwear, we also sell shoes and PPE
Who would play you in a film about your life?
George Clooney obviously!
Shark diving, bungee jumping or skydiving?
Shark diving. I love the water

Best holiday you have ever taken?
A trip to Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster site and the Ghost town of Pripyat in Ukraine (during the civil war there)
